Women showed up and showed out for the 2021 Grammy Awards

Megan Thee Stallion swept three Grammy’s and became the first female rapper to win best new artist since Lauryn Hill in 1999. </p><p style="text-align:auto"></p><p style="text-align:auto">Beyoncé also broke a new record and made history with her 28 Grammys as the most decorated woman tying the great Quincy Jones. </p><p style="text-align:auto"></p><p style="text-align:auto">Black women have set the standard within the music industry and truly shaped the culture, and it all showed at the 2021 Grammys.</p><p style="text-align:auto"></p><p style="text-align:auto">For many young Black girls, this was that sign to keep pushing and follow your dreams because it is possible. </p><p style="text-align:auto"></p><p style="text-align:auto">Often Black women are told that they can only stay in one specific genre and not be multifaceted within the industry. </p><p style="text-align:auto"></p><p style="text-align:auto">Although there is still work that needs to be done within the recording academy, women truly lead by example to show young Black girls that their dreams are attainable. </p><p style="text-align:auto">n</p><p style="text-align:auto"></p><p style="text-align:auto"></p>]]>
